Llŷn Coast Festival Events 2010 

For more information about the events and how to take part please contact the Pwllheli Tourist Information Centre on 01758 613000. 

 Please note that a space must be booked for some of the events on the sea and spaces are limited!

04/09/2010 – Guided Walk from  Porthor/ Whistling sands - Mynydd Mawr

05/09/2010 - Rhiw Guided Walk

09/09/2010- Pond dip and picnic in Abererch

11/09/2010 –Llithfaen Guided Walk

12/09/2010 – guided Walk in Llanbedrog to  Mynydd Tir y Cwmwd

14&15/09/2010 – coastal boat trips  

18&19/09/2010 – canoe and kayak trips

21/09/10 –Porth Neigwl/ Hell’s Mouth Beach Clean  

25/09/10- Bushcraft Session

26/09/10 – Bird watching walk in  Uwchmynydd

Please note that most of the events will be held through the medium of Welsh.

October 2009 - Resluts for the Llŷn AONB Photography Competition! 

On the 15th of October the awards evening for the competition was held at  Plas Glyn y Weddw with Iolo Williams.

The competition has been running throughout the summer, with the competition theme asking people to capture the "Natural Beauty" of  Llŷn with their photo.

200 photographs were submitted to the competition, and the hard work of judging them was undertaken by local photographer Tony Jones from Golau-Llŷn-light.com, who specialises sin taking photographs of the stunning local scenery.

The winning entries will be shown on the website soon, but in the mean time there will be an opportunity fo ryou to view the photographs at Oriel Plas Glyn y Weddw's Christmas Exhibition.

Llŷn AONB Coast and Walking Festival

The Llŷn AONB Coast and Walking festival will run throughout September, with different activities every weekend. The festival will give people the opportunity to gain a different experience of Llŷn and its coast –either through different themed guided walks, taster sessions for activities on the water, or learning about the area’s wildlife from a boat or canoe
